9/11/2009 God Bless America-America Bless God

It's the day after 9/11 and I'm reflecting on how blessed I am to be born in the USA, land of the free, home of the brave. God bless America, my home sweet home. I'm thinking about and praying for all the victims and their families who lost loved ones on the tragic day 9/11...the day that changed our lives forever. I believe my prayers make a difference because as Christians, we are commanded to pray without ceasing and believe to receive what we pray for.
Prayer is the most important thing we can do on behalf of others...our Nation, family and friends.

I am very grateful to God today for my everything including my relationship with my Father God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, my church, Crenshaw Christian Center, Apostle and Pastor Price, my mother Thelma and father Enoch, my daughters, Toni and Estee, my grandchildren, Doniven 18, James, 16 Matthew 15, Jahde 12 and Madison 11, my siblings, Rose, Patti, Sammy, Stan, Art and Wesley, a host of nieces and nephews and last but not least, all my wonderful friends. I am also grateful for my brothers and sisters in Christ, they are my family too.

What can I offer my family and friends...what is my contribution to the planet? Everyday, I ask myself, what difference can I make today in someones life. I have the opportunity and responsibility to make an impact every single day of my life. The question is how? Am I letting my light shine or not...am I walking by faith, or not...is the fruit of my spirit, love, joy and peace, being expressed...am I loving like Jesus, or not. The Word of God is very clear about the way I am to live. The question is clear and the answer is, I'm on the journey to maturity....Perfection, never...there was only one perfect and his name is Jesus, the Messiah...the true and living God. www.christccia.org

Doniven goes to Howard University in Washington DC

I can hardly believe the day has finally come for my oldest grandson Doniven to go off to college.

Estee, his mother, my youngest daughter, travelled by Greyhound from Fayetteville North Carolina to Washington DC on Thursday, August 13. God has worked out all the details of Doniven's journey to Howard and after a week of miracles, Estee will return home on Wednesday August 19th to her two younger boys James 16 and Jahde 12. I am so proud of her and how she has taken care of her boys. God is blessing her for her labor of love and commitment toward her boys and I thank God for her.
